Strangled by red tape
I am swearing off timelines. The MoE's first 90 day deadline was March 20th. Lo and behold, on March 19th they found they needed a new document from all submitting adoption agencies. The document doesn't seem to be that difficult - a statement from a governing body that adopted children have same rights as biological children. Hopefully this will be a quick turn around for all the agencies. Regardless, though, no one knows how this will affect the turnaround time for accreditation. Does the 90 days start over? Does this just give the MoE an open ended time frame for review? The speculation is across the board and the conspiracy theorists have definite thoughts on the subject. As for me, I just don't know. We have seen too many couples lose their referrals lately because of the lag in time and Russian families coming forward. At this point, all we can do is hope and pray that things move swiftly and that we have the patience to endure it.

I am so sorry for this I know how difficult this wait can be prayers to you that it is all resolved soon.
Smells like a stall tactic. I am so, so sorry.
I can imagine how frustrated you (and all the other waiting PAPs) must be feeling right now. I wish that the MoE would really start acting in the best interests of the children. These continued delays are in no one's best interests.
awww, was hoping to hear he was already in your arms. will keep praying for better news. glad to know he's been well and they are keeping you updated on him. hugs to all!
Try and remember that God is in control. I love you very much.
